Welcome to our synagogue!
TBDJ is an open, warm Modern Orthodox synagogue. We are committed to serious involvement in prayer, Torah study, social action and communal involvement. All Jews are welcome!
TBDJ's 21st Century Capital Campaign
TBDJ has been a part of our lives and a pillar of the Cote St-Luc and Hampstead
Jewish community since its founding in 1959. Our building, built in 1965, has
hosted forty-five years of High Holiday services, Simchat Torah celebrations, Purim
parties, and thousands of minyanim, shiurim, weddings and Bar and Bat Mitzvahs.
The building has served us long and well, and we owe many thanks to those who
have kept it running smoothly all these years.
Our building has begun to show its age. The heating and air conditioning
systems, roof, and windows need to be replaced. The entire building, including the
sanctuary, social halls, library, washrooms, offices and hallways are worn out and
need to be refurbished and redecorated.
We can all be proud that our membership is thriving, and that we currently
have a membership of over 700 families. A new generation is joining TBDJ due to
our vibrant membership and our dynamic Rabbi. Our volunteers and professional
staff continue to work together to provide high quality family-oriented and multigenerational
opportunities for Jewish enrichment.
It is our goal to create a desirable space to attract more weddings and hall
rentals, thereby reducing the financial burden on our own membership. We are
working hard to renew our building in preparation for the many simchas, minyanim
and holidays we will celebrate at TBDJ in the future.
Become a part of TBDJ’s future! Call now to participate.
